Like lemming(s) to the sea

I have to thank my friend and fellow dissertator lemming for making me laugh twice this morning. The first occasion was in a comment she left in my angsty entry yesterday in which she invoked the theme from Chariots of Fire as a suitable accompaniment to the completion of a dissertation. This meant that while I was sitting in Podunk Public Library waiting for AJs storytime to end, I was contemplating what would, in all likelihood, be the worlds most boring film. Two friends race to finish their long papers that no one will read but the writer and those who get paid to do so. Tense yet emotionally distant music accompanies scenes of the two friends sitting at isolated desks typing and not even noticing the presence of cameras. Occasional drama occurs when the writers are interrupted by screaming or vomiting children, barking dogs, or husbands who cant remember where the sugar is kept. And still the music surges. Will they ever finish? Will anybody even care? This is sure to be a contender at Sundance next year.

The second time lemming made me laugh was in her own entry today which proved that some Christians do have a sense of humor. Heres a bible quiz that even heathens can pass with flying colors. Youll also learn the difference between Exodus and Singin in the Rain. Thanks, lemming!

My BibleDudes Quiz Score: 11 our of 10
