Two bizarre sightings in downtown Chicago today:
Near Northwestern Station: A blind woman window shopping. She had her white-tipped cane in one hand and was shielding her eyes to peer at some clothing in the window of The Avenue with the other. Daley Plaza: A man had stopped and parked illegally on the curb next to the Columbus Day Italian market in order to better tie the life-sized fiberglass pony to the roof of his car. The policeman who was thinking about writing a ticket for the aforementioned pony-tier. I miss the urban landscape. [Click back for a previous entry on how I suck as a teacher but I should still write textbooks]
