Well, I do like the idea of delurking week, so I shall join in the fun! I really enjoyed your Grandma tribute. I have written about mine, but didn't give nearly the full picture, as you have.

I loved reading the entry about your Granny; so full of lovely, vivid memories! As for my favorite word...I'm supposed to choose just one?! :-)

I don't think I have a favorite word but Dusty's two favs these days are shenanigans and hijinks.

comments! that's great, congrats. it's nice to have them instead of the guestbook. my new favorite word is delurking. it's sweet to read about your grandmother in all her complexity. my grandmother was a life-saver to me, the only person who i could count on to stand up for me. she was wonderful and complex, someone who i've tried to selectively emulate. thanks for the reminders.

my favorite word is "neorxenawange" which is the Old English word for heaven/paradise, and is the word used for the Garden of Eden. pronounced: nay-ORKS-in-a-wahng-uh
