the good thing about prenatal yoga is they dumb down the moves for someone like me who a) isn't flexible and b) is prone to fits of giggles! kudos for your upper arm strength, though!

You wanna laugh sometime? Come over and see me even try the "bird of paradise" pose... and then fall over without getting even close to it. It should be hilarious (at least for the people watching... my unflexible self would likely be in pain.)

The really sad thing is that when I did some research on the pose today (because that's what I do when something is beyond my control -- I do research), it turns out we were doing "Easy Bird-of-Paradise." Regular Bird-of-Paradise is done the same way but with the opposite leg pulled diagonally across the front of the body. Perhaps, Dr. Geek, we should plan a comic yoga class, where we all try to do impossible poses until we can't stop laughing. I'm sure that would be good for our health, if not exactly in the same way the yogis intended.
