Amen on the people doing chores because everyone in the family should contribute to the running of the household. But I think you may be on the right track with finding extra projects he can help on. And, yikes, elgan's right, that's a lot of money for a video game!

my favorite pluto-demotion story: my dad called me yesterday to say that he had read something in the wall street journal(!) about how scorpios (which i am) might be having a problem with pluto no longer being a planet. he called to jokingly reassure me that it was going to be ok. wow, i like that story so much i'm going to blot it. it was here first!
