I have no idea, but N just told me a limerick (that her latin teacher told her!). It goes something like: There once was a penis from Schenectady Who said (something something) synechdoche Something something something I'm a part for a (w)hole Or that's what they told me in Schenectady

I'm so sorry to do this to you, but I really love it. I've written many a rhyming e-mail with this valuable tool. http://www.rhymer.com/cgi-bin/rhymer.cgi May I recommend "foreplay" and "Pompeii?" Diamond: You know I am going to beat you at Scrabble tonight, right?

I think that it would be fun to continue the thing as though Zimbabwe were replaced with 'Rhodesia'--i bet no one thinks that's entertaining but me.

How about: There once was a man from Zimbabwe/ Who said to a girl, "Goin' my way?"/ She asked, "Where's Rhodesia?/ "Cause I have amnesia."/ And they both flew right back to Zimbabwe.

Howzabout: There once was a man from Zimbabwe, So obese, in a huge-shapeless-blob way, That his quivering mass Caused observers to ask, "Heavens, just how much does that poor slob weigh?"

Aw man, this was in my head for hours and I forgot to post. I'd got as far as 'There was a young man from Zimbabwe, who said if we just get a cab we, can go off to the bush, and I'll show you my tush, that's what's called a good time in Zimbabwe.'

You guys are awesome. Keep them coming. Nice to see you here, DJ and Br. For the record, Br. was part of the original discussion about the augmented sixth chords, if my memory serves. And Julia, I SO did not need to know about that website. I'm not sure which is better: Julia's foreplay/Pompeii rhyme or Claudia's Rhodesia/amnesia pairing.
