Needless to say, I hope I win at least Honorable Mention in the limerick contest. Also, I'm going through your comments (I'm unfamiliar with this MS Word feature - where do I find it?) and one thing I realized was that I stuck in an interim house somewhere among the drafts. We lived, for a year, in an old house (next to the Lawn People) before moving to the country. The only thing I hate about my current house is it's characterlessness. It's a cheap '60's ranch house with nothing to be said for it. But, I got over my House Snobbery because with the property, we got everything else we wanted. If only we could afford a "tear down." We could build the Queen Anne or the '40's bungalow of my dreams. Anyway, thanks - so far - for your thorough reading of this. I really appreciate the attention you gave it. I might put it down and come back to it in a week or so because there are just too many things going on and I need to break apart the various things I want to talk about and focus on each individually. Good God... There is something just *wrong* about a kindergartner racing through fraction on his own, says the Math Dunce (tm). God help you... he'll be doing calculus by 12. You done bred one of them there genius kids, Harriet!

Yeah, he's a little scary that way. Two English majors who write about history get married and we get a kid who's insane for math and science. Clearly somebody is having a good laugh at our expense.
