I have been thinking about these questions of ageing today as well. I don't know how to 'be' fifty two at all, but keeping on dancing is also one of my requirements, one that I find hard to fulfil in a manner that fits. The class I've recently started is a combination of yoga, t'ai chi and pilates and is set to music - http://www.lesmills.com/site/getting-started/getting-started-in-bodybalance.aspx?c=115 - There's also a thing called Five Rhythms which is pretty cool.

I am determined to stick with the belly dancing, but I'm bad at practising. I used to do Israeli folk dancing when I was younger, and I loved it. It was much more aerobic than what I do now. I think you're right. What's that song with the refrain: "So let's keep dancing..."?

Thanks for your suggestion about the pseudonym. The problem with that is that if I were to win a writing competition, I would want everyone to know about it. I think I've come up with another subject which I can substitute. I just don't know if I can stretch it to 2,000 words.
