Being (as you know) a philistine, my favorite opera to sing is the 'Kill the Wabbit' Wagner spoof from Bugs Bunny. Has AJ seen that?

I'm touched! I'm also planning to take Dusty to see The Nutcracker this year - her first "real" ballet. I have fond memories of dressing up for this and gazing in awe, not just of the dancers and the music, but of the concert hall itself.

AJ does indeed know and love "Kill the Wabbit" well enough that he identified the song with his friend D's tank. His favorite, though (and mine) is The Rabbit of Seville. If you are not familiar with the Animaniacs, I highlly recommend them as well. They are hard to come by now that they're off the air, but they are, to my mind, the only cartoon in recent years (the 1990s) that come close to the wartime era Bugs cartoons in intelligence and wit.

Die Zauberflöte was my first opera as well, and was the catalyst that set me on a classical singing track. I was just practising the Queen of the Night’s “Vengeance Aria” today, as a matter of fact.

if you haven't seen the borat movie yet, there's a movie that made me think of AJ and his New York- Jewish connection that was very funny... (not that this has anything to do with your post...it's probably weird that when the joke happened in the movie i actually thought to myself "i wonder if harri3t has seen this yet" huh?
