I always wish for an internal clock like yours. If I'm really asleep, it's nearly impossible to wake me. And I hardly ever wake up just before the alarm rings. I miight be jealous of your internal clock. heh.

time freakouts have some weird deep hold on me. if i'm feeling some concern that things are going very weirdly around me, i often have the sensation that time has stopped. so your dream (?) would have completely 1) been in keeping with my anxieties and 2) stressed the heck out of me. so, sympathy from here.

I, too, usually wake up 5 or 10 minutes before the alarm is supposed to go off which is a good thing because Red loves to fuck around with my clock and will invariably mess with the alarm setting.

I had a similiar dream last night about alarm clocks, but mine somehow also involved Charleston Chew candy bars.

I know these strange time warp sensations - but I don't think I've experienced one as weird as a recurring 459...thanks for the laugh.

Thanks for the link to that performance. Besides the out-of-tune singing and the obvious problems with a boy singing that particular aria, I was struck by the total lack of expression on the kid's face, like he couldn't wait for it to be over. As you say, very disturbing.
