I only make pumpkin - it's my thing. My mother-in-law is under strict orders to bring pecan pie - it's her thing (and my husband's who is a baby).

In our family, we definitely strive for a 1:1 pie ratio. More often it's 1:2. Frankly, I'd prefer about a 1.5:1 ratio, myself, but I guess that would probably be seen as being piggy, wouldn't it? (Said she who could (and, likely, would) eat a pie a day if allowed to do so.) My baking blitz starts tomorrow too. 2 pumpkin pies and the lebkuchen (for Christmas but it needs to age). I vote for Mr. Spy (although Mr. The Spy has an exotic ring to it, it sounds to close to "Mr. (comma) The Spy" which implies he is The Spy when we all know that You are The Spy - and a right good one too). Just MHO!

Mr. Spy. Sort of like Mr. Klaw. Or Mr. Freeze. But not Mr. Mister. That's wrong on so many levels. So so so many levels.

Definitely Mr. Spy.

Mr. the spy wouldn't work. It would be like meeting Jesus and saying, "Hey, Mr. the Christ." I worry about that regularly.

I suggested "Sir Mr. The Spy" but I'd like to amend it to "Lord Sir Mr. The Spy of Harrietshire". Because I'm drunk.

Who else would like to be drunk with Lass? Me, me. RS: I have to agree, it would be like calling Alexander the Great "Mr. the Great." Unless we're treating "the" like "de" as in "de Medici," in which case I am really confused. Lass! Shots!

Finally! A religion that actually makes sense!

Sorry, Herr Bison, but it looks like you're outnumbered. Mr. Spy it is. But I think I'll hold onto Lord Sir Mr. The Spy of Harrietshire for special occasions. And count me in for shots with Lass! Over the holidays, perhaps?

Drinks! Hooray! I'll email you gals my holiday itinerary.

Generally I'd go with Mr. Spy, although I find fairlywell's note about "de Medici" provacative. Maybe Mr. de Spy? Ah, Monsieur le Spy! (Monsieur L'Espion? No, now I'm getting carried away.) Then of course there is SpyDaddy, the affectionate moniker for Jack Bristow, the dashing patriarch of the fictional spy-family in the tv series Alias.
