Don't forget "Only Happy When It Rains" by Garbage - AND - how could you forget "Rain" by the Beatles. One of Lennon's finest tunes!!

"I Love a Rainy Night" was one of my favorites when I was younger. Also, a post-rain song suggestion: "I Can See Clearly Now" Johnny Nash. I also always liked "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head." Ok, I'll stop now.

I like Meliisa Etheridge's Let it Rain. The Weathergirls song is the BEST! You make the best mixes.

What about "The Rain Song" by Led Zepplin?

Or better yet, "Fool In The Rain", also by Led Zepplin?

"So. Central Rain" by REM is a must.

So far my list stands at 46 songs about rain -- in addition to the ones you all suggested, I added "My Favorite Things" ("Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens") and "MacArthur Park" ("Someone left a cake out in the rain"). Given that teranika is living in a remarkably rainy place, I think she deserves a song for every week of the year. Can we come up with 6 more?

Yes, thanks, I know the grading system makes perfect sense (usually), but I still complain about it. But it's true -- I hadn't learned enough to write a final paper until the end of the semester, so of course the final paper and exam will be worth more than my midterm work. It's just stressful. Now it's time for you to make a snow mix! It's finally snowing in Connecticut!

If you can find it, Andrew McKnight (Virginia folk singer) has a great very touching song called "Dancing in the Rain". No relation to the classic. And also Patty Griffin, "Rain".
