Happy new year! I like this letterboxing idea. I'll have to see if anyone in my area is doing it. (Probably. I'm the last to find out about anything.) XOXO Violet

Sounds groovy! Hey, the Science channel is running a series on the planets that I just found today, and it's on my season pass list now.

I've never heard of letterboxing - sounds interesting. I'll keep my feelings about bacon to myself. :)

If you go to the letterboxing.org website (linked above), click on "Clues" at the bottom of the page and it will take you to a map. You can then click on your state and region and find out where there are boxes in your area. There are all kinds of clue sets. Some are themed -- based on a book or a film or something. Others are pretty straightforward, making it more like orienteering. Some have an agenda -- a fitness trail, a tour of a park, city or museum. Our friends who told us about this are really hooked. They've been doing it for a number of years. It was a great way to get a kid to go hiking and enjoy it. I only wish there were a box in my favorite nearby hiking locale. Maybe we'll have to put one there.

Nothing that involves large quantities of butter, bacon, and dark chocolate can ever be truly bad. I hate to ask... (Ok, no I don't; if I really hated to ask, I suppose I wouldn't)... How did someone wind up duct-taped to your office chair? The letter boxing sounds really cool!

Kelley, it was a prank gone awry when one of the guests (someone I did not know well who'd come with a friend of mine) turned out to be a hostile drunk. And I'm afraid that I don't remember all the details. I'm hoping that's a statement about my remove from the project rather than of my inebriation at the time. But I'm not entirely sure about that either.
