Those Boston Common squirrels are aggressive, but I've never seen anyone knocked out by one. Did he yell "Give us nuts!" as he landed? XOXO Violet

when i was in college i was walking through what was called the "oak grove" (big tree-y quad middle of campus) and there was a science class outside looking up at the trees. my friend todd and i hear "INCOMING!" and look over in time to see a squirrel land on a girl. i still laugh about that one. I think it's the "incoming" warning that makes it for me.

Violet, alas, no. But he did run off with half of my sandwich. Beth, that is hilarious. I could have used an "INCOMING." Perhaps I could have retained both my dignity and my consciousness.

It does rather add insult to injury doesn't it, to have him run off with your lunch? I don't think an INCOMING warning would have done it for me... Frankly, no matter what someone yelled, I wouldn't think to dodge a squirrel aimed for my head. I mean, even if they yelled, "Hey, kelley, a squirrel is about bounce off your head!" so that I knew they were talking to me and what, exactly, was about to happen, I sincerely doubt that'd I'd react fast enough to prevent it! And, on a different note, how lovely that you have a comfy chair in the bedroom! Someday...

Personally, I think that 'Airborne Rodents' would make an excellent band name.

I appreciate your offer. I've been in development my entire career but as a back-end person. I'm a researcher, not a special events planner. I hate those things and while I'm good with details, I don't know what details are involved in such a thing. it's ridiculous that this position reported to me in the first place but there you have it. So, I think it will work itself out, I just am tired of working with people who do not communicate, will not offer help (though I give it to them all the time) and can't just act like a team. They put on alumni events every month so they could do this with their eyes shut. they just don't like to help. Sorry, too much venting. Off I go. Thanks.
