Hmmm, I have that "there is chaos so I must clean" thing to, but not so much. Whenever I get upset, I have this incredibly stupid desire to just start throwing things away, as though that'll fix all my problems. And dishes. If it's got to the point that I'm flinging the dishes in the machine (or, further towards the kill zone, filling the sink to do them by hand) all is not well in my world. Probably because the rest of the time I could really care less about the clutter around me.

Have you given any thought to whether or not the water could be due to ice damming on the roof or somewhere else? It could very well be that water is getting into the walls somewhere further up the house, coming down inside the walls and out on a lower floor. Did your iPod ever arrive?
