Have you tried mapping your route using the Gmaps pedometer? (http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/) That is my favorite tool for urban distance tracking. Probably if you plan on 10 minute miles, you won't be off by more than a minute or two per mile in either direction. If you run faster than eight minute miles, you need to come push me around the block a few times. :)

Yesterday was the day of Canadian geese in pairs making horrid noises and terrorizing us all. Two of them perched on teh roof of teh student center, two on my roof at home, two on the library roof... maybe Tom Lehrer had the right idea after all.

Julia, thanks so much for the link. Mr. Spy and I have both been having fun with it. What a great tool. Lemming, I know (and love) a lot of Tom Lehrer, but I don't think I know or remember that song. And Laura, Thanks! I'll have to stop doing the YMCA dance now, though.
