I vote for a tithe to charity and let the kids keep the rest. Cute or not, they did teh work and the adults knew what is was they were purchasing. Congrats to Mr. Spy!

My opinion on the kids' enterprise depends on their attitude, I suppose. If they were making a genuine effort to wash cars in exchange for quarters, I'm all for it. If it was a shakedown for cash with no intention of washing anything - well, not so much. Congratulations to Mr. Spy! Oh, um, I've tried not to be curious, but I am. Is he accepting new readers at his secret blog? I'll fill out an application, if my occupation as "imaginary friend" is acceptable.

Hey! Have a great time. Charity is probably good -- what else would they do with it? People are extorted, sure, but I'm sure their kids have done some extorting in their time. I would say with lemonade, at least you're getting a quality product, but in actual fact that's not true -- so.

Gotta respectfully disagreen ma'am. Charity is all well and good, but if the kids are willing to identify work (no matter how unintentionally shoddy) with earning money, you may be off to a good start. Those adults aren't just paying for cuteness, they're paying because they appreciate the effort the kids are going to.

I like the tithing idea. And I'm just like you with the clothing. In fact, it's possible that I DO just wear the same 3-4 things....sad, but true.
