Number six is from the great, original "In-Laws" starring Peter Falk and Alan Arkin. (I can't believe they DARED to remake that movie a few years ago. THe nerve!) Thanks for the laugh!

Lass got number 6. The In-Law's has got to be one of my most favorite comedies ever. And that remake is about the most worst remakes I've ever seen. What were they thinking?

I'll take the easiest one - Princess Bride, #10.

This is usually my forte, I have an uncanny ability to remember movie quotes, and hae seen and obscene amount of movies! But you picked some tough ones! Ok, of the ones that haven't been guessed and that I know: 2. After Hours, said by Rosanna Arquette's character. 5. Best in Show, said by the crazy uptight guy married to Parker Posey 8. Groundhog Day, said by Phil

#2 is After Hours. I"ll have to think on the others for a while.

My memory is terrible for things like this. I could never find enough quotes. But 9 is the Marx Brothers. I can't remember which film, but there's a whole bunch of people squashed into a cabin on a ship and Harpo and Chico keep adding hard-boiled eggs to the room service order. I think.

Alas the only ones I know have already been claimed. I am quite flattered that you swpied from me, since the post that I most enjoyed writing was a meme I swiped from you!

My lack of knowledge and skill cannot keep me from trying this movie quiz! #8 is from... So I Married an Axe Murderer? Spoken by Harriet? And #4 is the Maltese Falcon, see? By Sam Spade, see? That's all I got. XOXO Violet

Violet got The Maltese Falcon, but #8 is not from So I Married an Axe Murderer. It is, however, from another movie that came out in the same year, so she's got the vintage right. Now for some hints on the remainder: #1 is a well-known movie from the 1930s. I believe it was on TCM within the last week or two. #6 is from an Indy movie from the late 1990s. The lead actor should be familiar to everyone, but it is possible that my date and I were the only ones to see this movie as hardly anyone else I know seems to have heard of it until I make them sit down and watch it. I, on the other hand, have seen it at least 10 times. It's probably not as good as all that, but something about it hits home for me. I can't remember exactly when #11 came out, but I'd guess 1990s or possibly late 80s. I saw this one on video, so I'm not sure. In any case, despite the fact that the lead actress is very much an A-list Hollywood diva actress type, the only people I know who've seen this movie are opera buffs and theater people. It is, however, a must see for anyone who has ever been in volved with the production of any kind of musical or theatrical venture, I think.
