Happy Father�s Day to all who are celebrating in some fashion.

We spent most of the weekend simply enjoying the weather, weather so spectacular that it was in and of itself a gift of great price. The yard has never looked better, as we simply could not stand to stay indoors. We had a very low-key celebration � cards, pancakes, gifts of assorted reading material. AJ insisted on opening all the cards and reading them aloud, which his father thoroughly enjoyed. And I got to spend a little time chatting with my dad via the telephone and wishing he didn't live quite so far away.

I was planning on responding to elgan's question today, but I want a little more time with the subject, as I haven't had much time for contemplation this weekend. It will have to wait another day.
