Quote of the day, from an article in the Chicago Tribune on July 13, 1933. The quote is taken from a speech by Catherine Oglesby, associate editor of the Ladies' Home Journal. She is offering advice to women in business:

"Whenever you have been working especially hard let me recommend to you that you go out and buy a hat. Preferably a red hat. Every woman ought to own one, for the stimulation of her spirit."
