Good news about the paper! On the fish side of things, I can't help. The only fish I ever had I killed by overfeeding. I moved on to bigger and furrier (sp?) pets and never looked back.

Brilliant news about the publisher! Go you! I've never managed to keep a fish alive for more than a month, despite many attempts...

Go you! That's great about the paper. And the fish idea seems good, too -- I was thinking that AJ would probably enjoy helping to set the whole thing up.

Hurrah! A publisher! What great news, knowing that your dissertation will not languish dustily on a library shelf among other similarly dusty dissertations, bound only in the regulation black covers. As for fish, we had guppies when I was growing up, and they became so inbred that the last generation were born totally deformed and did not live long. Good luck.

Amazing about the publisher. I've been listening to Zorbas publishing woes (he has been trying to publish his diss for more than a year) so I have a heightened sense of how hard it can be....Also, yes, it is wrong that you thought about increasing goldfish longevity while cooking salmon.
