Re gambling on buses: I used to have the same wonder, and decided a while ago I could probably get away with some quiet wagering. (Five bucks says that light turns red before we get there! Raise you a dollar if that girl texting on her cell falls over when we stop!)

I have never heard this gambling announcement--perhaps gambling is allowed on city buses in San Francisco and Boston! I should move back and begin a great new lucrative career. And? I don't know why, but I also have that impalement thought. Huh. XOX Violet

I always do the impaled wondering. Nice to know that i'm not the only one. I think that it's Simon and Garfunkle's fault.

Yes, impalement. It reminds me of The Omen.

Count me in on the impalement curiosity. Also, the chimps sounds are great and I'd like to very belatedly suggest Barry Adamson's "Saturn in the Summertime" for AJ's cd.

Oh I am so glad there are more folk than I that think about the impalement thing!! I'm just wondering what sort of gambling one would *do* on a city bus...

I always have the Kafka thought in dead bug pose! And impalement on fences as well, of course.
